Angel Reese has been criticized recently for her rivalry with Iowa Hawkeyes’ Caitlin Clark. Coming to her defense this time are the former NBA and NFL players Gilbert Arenas and Shannon Sharpe, respectively, who both delivered strong reasons why people “hate” her.Shannon Sharpe wanted to know what Agent Zero thought about the hate she’s been getting since last year, to which he responded that it’s about her being successful as that irritates people. However, when it came to Sharpe, he pulled the race card as he attributed the hate to people who didn’t look like her.

Despite all the criticism, Reese has been exceptional this season for the Tigers, with her teammates lauding her leadership. She recently declared her eligibility for the 2024 WNBA Draft.
Angel Reese responds to Emmanuel Acho’s criticism
LSU Tigers star Angel Reese took to social media, X (formerly called Twitter), to respond to Emmanuel Acho, a former NFL player who criticized her during the week. Although she didn’t directly call him out, all it was clear who it was directed at.

Acho criticized Reese for being emotional and bursting into tears during a press conference where he asserted that she can’t always cry like Courage the Cowardly Dog while acting as the big bad wolf. He called her a villain who wanted to seek sympathy like a hero.
The former NFL player then attempted to retract his criticism after facing a backlash on social media from fans and some former professionals with whom he had proposed the opportunity for dialogue. However, most persons, Angel Reese included, didn’t believe in the authenticity of his change of heart as it was perceived as coming from a place of pressure, pressure due to the backlash he received.
